Privacy Policy

Show Up ("we", "us", "our") is an app that delivers one daily relationship gesture idea via push notification. It is operated by JP Denis, based in France. You can reach us at hello@show-up.coach.

When you create an account and use the app, we collect:

• Account data: your name and email address.
• Your inner circle: names, relationship categories, birthdays, and optional notes for the people you add. This data is entered voluntarily by you.
• Usage data: which gestures you mark as done and your emoji reactions (❤️ 🔥 😐 🔁). This data is used to improve gesture recommendations.
• Push notification token: a device identifier provided by Google (FCM) used solely to deliver your daily gesture notification. We store your preferred notification time and timezone.
• Device locale: your device language (e.g. "fr" or "en") to deliver gestures in your language.

We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, or any other device data.

• To deliver your daily gesture push notification at your preferred time.
• To personalise gesture suggestions based on the relationships in your inner circle.
• To send birthday reminders for people in your inner circle (if you add a birthday).
• To send a weekly summary of your gesture completions (Sundays only, if you completed at least one gesture that week).
• To maintain your account and allow you to sign in.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): used to deliver push notifications to Android devices. Your device push token is transmitted to Google's servers to route notifications.Firebase Privacy.
• Resend: used to send transactional emails (email verification, password reset). Your email address is transmitted to Resend for this purpose only.Resend Privacy.
• Vercel: our web frontend is hosted on Vercel. Standard server logs may be retained for a short period.Vercel Privacy.

Our API and database run on a private server hosted by OVHcloud in France (EU).

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data (account, inner circle, history, reactions, push tokens) is permanently deleted from our servers. You can request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@show-up.coach or using the "Delete account" option in the app. See our account deletion page for full instructions.

If you are based in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data (you can update your name and inner circle directly in the app).
• Delete your data (via the app or by emailing us).
• Portability: receive a copy of your data in a structured format.
• Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time.

Show Up is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS with TLS encryption. Access tokens are short-lived (15 minutes) and refresh tokens are rotated on each use.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
